الملخص

تميزت ظاهرة الاستشراق بالجزائر أثناء الفترة الاستعمارية بالاعتماد على الجزائريين أنفسهم من أجل ضمان الإلمام بكل تفاصيل المجتمع، وقد صنف محمد صوالح ضمن أحد الأهالي الجزائريين الذين صعدوا في سلم التراتبية الاجتماعية والعلمية من خلال مشروع التثاقف الانتقائي، وكان أحد المطورين الذين قدموا خدمات علمية قيّمة للإدارة الفرنسية من خلال اسهاماته التعليمية أساسا والموجهة للتعليم الأهلي، ويصنف مؤلفه ضمن الدراسات المونوغرافية النادرة في المكتبة الجزائرية ، من خلال تفوقه الكبير على بعض المستشرقين في وصف المجتمع الجزائري ، حيث ركز على نمطية العقلية الجزائرية فكرا وممارسة وسلوكا في إطار التعريف بخصائص المجتمع الجزائري للأخر. The phenomenon of Orientalism in Algeria during the colonial period depended on the contributions of the Algerians themselves in order to ensure close familiarity with society. Mohamed Soualeh was one of the Algerians who rose in a social and scientific hierarchy through a selective acculturation project. He was one of the developers who provided valuable scientific services to the French administration through his educational contributions reserved for local education. His books are classified among the rare monographic studies in the Algerian library, He proved his great superiority over some orientalists in describing Algerian society, as he focused on the stereotypical Algerian mentality of thought, practice and behavior within the framework of introducing the characteristics of Algerian society to the other.
