Description

Almuqadimah of Human and Social Studies Journal (AHSSJ) is a bi-annual peer-reviewed non-profit scientific journal published and edited by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences - University of Batna1. The journal aims to spread science within the scope of its specialization. AHSSJ is an open access, specialized journal that publishes original theoretical and empirical research, which has not been previously published or addressed in documented scientific papers. It is open to a wide range of theoretical and empirical issues including social, psychological, philosophical, historical, archaeological and information-communication aspects. The articles, published in the journal, are selected according to rigorous blind peer-reviews to guarantee their originality, timeliness and relevance. The staff of reviewers and peer-reviewers is made up of highly qualified experts from different academic backgrounds and international institutions. The AHSSJ publishes articles written in Arabic, English and French which are characterized by their absolute academic and scientific standards.

يطيب لهيئة تحرير مجلة: (المقدمة للدراسات الانسانية والاجتماعية (AHSSJ) )، الصادرة عن كلية العلوم الانسانية والاجتماعية - جامعة باتنة1- الجزائر، أن توجه دعوة للباحثين من داخل الجزائر وخارجها الراغبين في نشر مقالاتهم بالمجلة، إلى إرسال مقالاتهم عبر حساب المجلة في منصة المجلات العلمية الجزائرية (ASJP) وذلك حسب قالب المجلة المحين والمتاح تحميله مباشرة عبر المنصة لكي لا يتم رفضه.

كما نعلمكم أن فترة استقبال المقالات الخاصة بالعدد القادم حدد من 20 جوان الى غاية 20 جويلية 2023م.

The editorial board of (Almuqadimah of Human and Social Studies Journal (AHSSJ)), Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences - University of Batna1, Algeria, is pleased to invite researchers from inside and outside Algeria who wish to publish their articles in the journal, to send their articles through the Algerian scientific journals platform (ASJP), according to the journal template that can be downloaded directly through the platform so as not to be rejected.

Online Learning in Algerian Universities and Institutions: the Reality and Expectations

Résumé: The present descriptive research attempts to investigate the extent to which Algerian university teachers and learners accept online learning. Also, it tries to depict teachers’ and learners’ readiness towards such adoption. To collect the needed data, two emailed questionnaires were sent to a representative sample of 17 teachers and 79 learners selected from the whole population that comprises university teachers and learners at the department of Media and Communication, faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, university of Batna-1. The selection was based on the simple random sampling technique. The obtained results were coded, and treated using the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS). The main findings of this research prove that teachers’ as well as learners’ reactions differ toward the adoption of this type of learning. Ultimately, their comments and suggestions pave the way to the success of online learning in the Algerian universities if the needed modifications are implemented.
