الملخص
سكن اليهود الجزائر منذ أزمنة قديمة، وظلوا يشكلون جزء مهما من مجتمعها، بعد اندماجهم في النسيج الاجتماعي والثقافي المحلي، ومع استعمار فرنسا للجزائر، أخذ هؤلاء ينسلخون تدريجيا من علاقاتهم مع الجزائريين، ويربطون مصيرهم بمصير المعمرين في الجزائر، فقد رفض أغلبهم تأييد الثورة الجزائرية، رغم جهود جبهة التحرير لكسبهم إلى جانبها، مفضلين مساندة خيار "الجزائر الفرنسية" بل وانخرط عدد منهم في الأعمال التخريبية التي نفذها المعمرون، وجيش الاحتلال الفرنسي في كل مناطق الجزائر لوأد الثورة، فكانت مواقفهم وأعمالهم سببا كافيا للقضاء على كل فرص بقائهم في الجزائر المستقلة، أو اندماجهم في مجتمعها الجديد، فقرروا الرحيل مع أفواج المعمرين، ولم يبقى منهم إلا بضع مئات حسب أغلب التقديرات. The Jews inhabited Algeria since ancient times, and they remained an important part of its society, after their integration into the local social and cultural fabric. With the colonization of Algeria by France, these Jews gradually stripped away from their relations with the Algerians, and linked their fate to the fate of the centenarians in Algeria. Most of them refused to support the Algerian revolution. Despite the efforts of the Liberation Front to win them over to its side, preferring to support the “French Algeria” option, and even a number of them were involved in the sabotage acts carried out by the centenarians, and the French occupation army in all regions of Algeria to bury the revolution, so their positions and actions were a sufficient reason to eliminate all chances of their survival in independent Algeria Or their integration into its new society, so they decided to leave with the groups of centenarians, and only a few hundred of them remained, according to most estimates.
