الملخص
يندرج موضوع المقال في التراث الجزائري الإسلامي من خلال دراسة بيوغرافية لعالم من أعلام الجزائر أبو القاسم الحفناوي في فترة نهاية القرن التاسع عشر والنصف الأول من القرن العشرين، ولكتابه "تعريف الخلف برجال السلف" الذي يُعد مرجعا أساسيا لتراجم الكثير من الأعلام الجزائرية، والإسلامية لا يمكن الاستغناء عنه. وعليه تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تسليط الضوء على الواقع الثقافي للجزائر في الفترة الاستعمارية الفرنسية ومحاولة إثبات الذات، والحفاظ عليها في ظل المجابهات الثقافية والحضارية، من خلال التعرف على عصر الحفناوي، وعوامل تكوين شخصيته العلمية، وإنتاجه العلمي خاصة معْلَمته البيوغرافية، ومدى قيمتها التاريخية. The topic of the present article is a part of the Algerian Islamic heritage in relation to a biographical study of one of the great Algerian figures at the end of the nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century, namely, Abu Al-Qasim Al-Hafnawi, and his book “Ta'rif Al-Khalaf bi Ridjal Al-Salaf”. the book is considered a unique basic reference for the translations of many Algerian and Islamic figures. Accordingly, this study aims to highlight the Algerian cultural reality during the French colonial period and try to prove and preserve identity in light of the cultural and civilizational confrontations, by identifying the Hafnawi era and the factors that formed his intellectual personality and knowledge production, especially his encyclopaedic biography and the extent of its historical value.
