El Acil journal for economic and administrative research is an international peer-reviewed, free scientific journal , open-access, Biannual, Published by the Faculty of Economics, commercial, and Management Sciences of the Abbès Laghrour Khenchela University. it interested in the publication of original scientific research and university studies in the fields of economics, commerce, management as well as all sciences related to this field in three languages: Arabic, French, and English. The journal aimed to attract researchers around the world by providing a scientific platform for discussion and contribution innovative researches, and make bridges between researchers, to exchange experiences and results, to contribute the development and ensure a useful exchange of knowledge, and to find solutions for contemporary economic problems . The journal includes an international editorial board that works due to international standards. which are ensured a documented scientific treatment method for researches, and works to improve and upgrade the journal to reach global levels and advance scientific research. Teaching and Learning Methods used in the Algerian Higher Education: The Case of Students and Teachers at the University of Biskra

Résumé: This research aims to examine many questions: What is the effectiveness of various teaching methods used for teaching students at Biskra’s university? How to create an appropriate learning environment? What are the best methods of teaching? This study focused on the case of students and teachers at English division from literatures and foreign languages department at Biskra’s University, 129 students and 52 teachers were questioned. The data of the study were collected through questionnaire during 2013, and were analyzed using SPSS.v.0.18. The study analyzed the methods used by teachers, and suggested some new methods to create an appropriate learning environment. Cette recherche vise à examiner plusieurs questions: quelle est l’efficacité des différentes méthodes d’enseignement utilisées pour enseigner les étudiants à l’université de Biskra? Comment créer un environnement d'apprentissage approprié? Quelles sont les meilleures méthodes d'enseignement? Cette étude s'est concentrée sur le cas des étudiants et des enseignants de la division anglaise du département des lettres et des langues étrangères de l'Université de Biskra, 129 étudiants et 52 enseignants ont été interrogés. Les données de l'étude ont été collectées par un questionnaire en 2013 et analysées à l'aide de SPSS.v.0.18. L'étude a analysé les méthodes utilisées par les enseignants et a suggéré de nouvelles méthodes pour créer un environnement d'apprentissage approprié.
