Knowledge Management Practices In Western Algerian Universities:the Use Of Digital Tools,microsoft Teams And Moodle Platform.

Abstract

The aim of this article is to examine the level of awareness and use of Digital tools, Microsoft TEAMS and MOODLEin knowledgemanagement practices in Algerian Western universities . The study is guided by three (3) objectives: toidentify Digital tools, Microsoft TEAMS and MOODLE platform used in (KM) practices; ascertain areas of(KM)practices where Digital tools, Microsoft TEAMS and MOODLE are applied and identify challengesassociated with integrating them into (KM)practices in universitywith reference to Western Algeria. Data for the study was generated throughquestionnaires that were administered to students and instructors. Findingsrevealed that (KM) are practiced in the surveyed universities. The mostpredominant form of (KM) is knowledge organization (97.6%), followed by knowledgedissemination (92.6%). Most university students and instructors in the Algerian Western universities surveyed are yet to appreciateand integrate Microsoft TEAMS and MOODLE into knowledge management practices. This paper concludes that knowledge management is anevolving phenomenon in the information and knowledge industry.
