In Translation (في الترجمة ) is an international indexed Journal issued annually by Annaba Badji Mokhtar University, Algeria. It is a refereed, double blind peer reviewed journal open for scholars, professors, and officials of translation and other related and associated disciplines, as comparative literature, literary studies, language studies, linguistics, didactics, culture, communication, economy, media, technology, and the like. It is an open access journal, which promotes research and enables users to download its articles free of any charge. In Translation accepts articles in Arabic, English, and French. The Journal is published in both print and online versions. It welcomes unpublished, original and full-length manuscripts that reflect the latest researches and developments of the above cited domains and disciplines. The objective of In Translation is to ensure the widest possible dissemination and visibility of its publications.

Dear Authors / Researchers/ Professors,

We, hereby, inform you that the contributions of the next normal issue (Vol.11, N°2, December 2024) will open on March 1^st, 2024 and end up on October 31st, 2024.

Important: Contributors are requested to stick to the conditions and recommendations of the Journal:

1-Respect of the Domain (Translation and Its relations with other disciplines)

2-Ethics of the Journal (downloadable from ASJP Platform of the Journal)

3-Template of the Journal (Downloadable from ASJP Platform of the Journal)

4-The Abstract and the title of the article as well as the name of the contributor MUST appear on ASJP Platform in English during submission.

5-Any reference in Arabic MUST be Romanized in ‘References’ at the end of the article.

ظاهرة الخطأ اللغوي في العربية: بحث فيما وراء الحدود اللسانية.

الملخص: انبثق تصوّرنا عن موضوعنا هذا من ثنايا بحثنا في موضوع موازٍ عن إشكاليات الترجمة وما صاحبها من مظاهر الهيمنة اللّسانية الغربيّة على العربيّة، وهذا ما قادنا إلى اكتشاف أبعاد غير لسانيّة جديدة لطالما ظلّت مغفلة لكنّها تلعب دورا بارزا في كل ما له علاقة بالدرّاسات اللّسانيّة عامة، وعليه يهدف هذا البحث إلى لَفْتِ أنظار الباحثين في مجال اللسانيّات نحو أهميّة العوامل الحضاريّة في تشخيص ظاهرة الخطأ اللغويّ في العربيّة. إذ تكمن أهمّيّته في أنّه يتناول موضوع الخطأ اللغويّ من حيث إنّه ظاهرة اجتماعيّة، في علاقته بالواقع الحضاريّ لمستعمليه، وفي إطار تكامليّة أركان الحضارة، وتعدّد أبعاد الظواهر. حيث توصّل إلى جملة نتائج أهمّها: قصور البعد اللسانيّ في تشخيص الظاهرة والتكفّل بها، والّذي يبقى في حاجة إلى مجالات علميّة أخرى، كالثّقافة والهويّة، والعلوم التكنولوجيّة والصناعيّة. Our perception of this topic has emerged from our research into a parallel theme of translation problems and the accompanying manifestations of Western linguistic hegemony over Arabic. This is what led us to discover new non-linguistic dimensions to which we had not paid attention, but they play a leading role in everything related to linguistic studies in general. This research aims to draw the attention of researchers in the field of linguistics to the importance of cultural factors in diagnosing the phenomenon of linguistic error in Arabic. It has obtained a number of results, the most important of which are: the lack of linguistic dimension in the diagnosis and treatment of the phenomenon, which still needs other scientific areas, such as culture and identity, and science technological and industrial.

Translation Issues of Financial Terms in Holy Qu’ran

الملخص: في إطار الترجمة الدينية، تعد ترجمة معاني القرآن الكريم إلى اللغات الأجنبية مسألة جوهرية ومن ضمن إشكالاتها المصطلحات المالية كأبرز العقبات الاصطلاحية التي تعترض سبيل المترجم لما تحمله من دلالات عميقة مشكلة بذلك إعجازا بلاغيا في اللغة القرآنية. تختلف ترجمة هذه الألفاظ المالية من مترجم لآخر بسبب اختلاف الآراء في تفسيرها، فلا يمكن الاجماع على مدلولاتها مما يصعب نقلها بنفس الأثر التواصلي الذي يعكس جمالية الخطاب القرآني وحسن بيانه. درسنا من خلال هذا المقال إشكالية ترجمة المصطلحات المالية في القرآن الكريم بالاعتماد على نماذج تطبيقية منتقاة من ترجمات فرنسية مختلفة كما قمنا بتسليط الضوء على الأساليب الناجعة في إنجاح نقل هذا النوع من الألفاظ.

The Translation of the Meanings of the Holy Qur’an :a specific translation of a specific text

Résumé: Translation has existed since ancient times, but the impact of the Qur’anic miracle was clear on it, thus since the beginning of the Islamic Dawa, a new discipline has appeared ,interested exclusively with translating the meanings of the Holy Qur’an. It has its own procedures and methods to deal with different translation cases. However, This field is under the name of “translating the meanings of the Holy Qur’an rather than “translation of the Holy Qur’an” .On this basis, our research studies and analyses this particular translation, so that we shed light on the nature of this unique field of knowledge, its advantages, reasons, difficulties, methods and its tools, then we illustrate the miraculous aspects of the Holy Qur’an that are revealed through translation.

Translating Color Metaphors in Literary Texts: Linguistic and Cultural Challenges ترجمة الاستعارة اللونية في النص الادبي: تحديات لغوية وثقافية

الملخص: يواجهُ المترجم صعوبات عند ترجمة مصطلحات الألوان سواء بمعناها الحقيقي أو المجازي، خاصةً إذا ما علمنا أنَّ بعض اللّغات لها تصنيفها الخاص للألوان، فهناك لغات تُعبر عن لونين بلفظ واحد، وأخرى تضع أكثر من لفظ لدرجات من اللّون الواحد، بالإضافة إلى، اختلاف تصورات الألوان ودلالاتها من ثقافة إلى أخرى، فبينما يرمزُ الأبيض في الثقافات الشرقية إلى الحداد، فإنَّه يرمز في الثقافات الغربية إلى الصفاء والطهارة. هذه التفاصيل اللّغوية والثقافية، تجعل من ترجمة مصطلحات الألوان، في النص الأدبي -خصوصاً ذات الاستعمال المجازي- مسألة معقدّة، تتطلبُ حنكة وفطنة من المترجم إضافةً إلى ضرورة اعتمادِه على أساليب تمكنهُ من تذليل هذه العوائق. وسنحاول في هذا البحث الإجابة على التساؤلات التالية: ما هو اللون؟ وفيما تتجلى صعوبة ترجمة الاستعارة اللونية، وما هي الاستراتجيات التي تمكن المترجم من الحفاظ على الدلالة الأصلية المطلوبة، من حيث نقل كلّ المعاني والإيحاءات التي تتضمنها مع إحداث التأثير نفسه، لدى المتلقي في اللّغة الهدف؟ كلمات مفتاحية: الألوان، المجاز، مشكلات ترجمة اللون، إستراتيجية ترجمة مصطلح اللون The translator faces difficulties when translating color terms, whether in their literal or metaphorical meanings, especially considering that some languages have their own classification of colors. Additionally, there are differences in the perception and connotations of colors from one culture to another. These linguistic and cultural details make translating color terms in literary texts, especially those with metaphorical use, a complex issue that requires skill and insight from the translator, as well as the need to rely on strategies to overcome these obstacles. In this research, we will try to answer the following questions: What are the difficulties in translating color metaphors, and what are the strategies that enable the translator to maintain the original intended meaning?
