Abstract
Abstract This study aims to know the opinions of university students about the phenomenon of employment in Algeria on the light of the economy knowledge. To achieve the objectives of the study, we relied on the descriptive analytical approach and the questionnaire as a main tool for collecting data and information for this study, which was distributed to members of the sample consisting of 194 students studying at Muhammad Al-Saddik Benyahia-Jijel University-. The study resulted that employment in Algeria depends on subjective criteria, when Academic excellence is not considered a basic criterion for employment, and the labor market in Algeria does not give priority to employment to those with university degrees, despite the fact that a university degree is one of the criteria for employment.
