الملخص
إذا كانت مراسيم الزواج لها أهمية كبيرة في المجتمع الجزائري في وقتنا الحاضر حيث تأخذ وقتا وجهدا كبيرين، فإن هذا الأمر لم يكن مختلفا في الفترة العثمانية، فالزواج كان مناسبة هامة يحضر لها الجميع تحضيرا خاصا متتبعين مختلف العادات والتقاليد التي أصبحت مع مرور الوقت جزء لا يتجزأ من مراسيم الزفاف، ودأبت الأسر الجزائرية على التأكيد على ممارستها كل بحسب قدرته ومكانته الاجتماعية، والتأكيد على إستمراريتها وتناقلها من جيل إلى آخر، بل إن الأمر ذهب إلى أبعد من ذلك حيث أصبح المتخلي عنها يتلقى لوما إجتماعيا كبيرا. If the marriage ceremonies have a big importance in the Algerian society at the present time as they take much time and effort, the issue was not different during the Ottoman era. The marriage was an important event that had special preparation following the various traditions that became part and parcel of the marriage ceremonies with time. The Algerian families practiced them according to their abilities and social status because they insisted on their continuity and passing them down from one generation to another. Moreover, the one who does not respect these ceremonies gets a big social blame.
