التلوث البلاستيكي في البيئة البحرية: حتمية الوقاية وآليات التصدي

الملخص
خلف الاستعمال الواسع لمادة البلاستيك أطنانا من النفايات البلاستيكية، سبب سوء تسييرها تسللها نحو البيئة البحرية، فكون جزرا عائمة غيرت من الطبيعة البيولوجية للكائنات الحية فيها، وأدت إلى القضاء على أصناف حيوانية عديدة بسبب تغذيتها على الجزيئات البلاستيكية الدقيقة، كما أن الإنسان أصبح بدوره مهددا كون البلاستيك أصبح ضمن أغذيته بصورة غير مباشرة. اتفقت دول العالم من مطلع القرن الماضي على أن البيئة البحرية مكسب يستحق الرعاية والحماية، من الملوثات التي تهدد بقاءه للأجيال القادمة، واستحدثت اتفاقيات دولية لضمان تحقيق هذا الهدف، وعلى الرغم من تعدد هذه الاتفاقيات، إلا أن الإحصائيات تفيد بتصاعد خطر التلوث بالمواد البلاستيكية، وعليه وجب رأب الخلل في عجل قبل فوات الأوان. Abstract: The widespread use of plastic resulted in tons of plastic waste, because of its mismanagement, it infiltrated into the marine environment, forming floating islands, changed the biological organisms, and led to the elimination of many animal species, because they were feeding on microplastic particles, the human being in turn became in indirect danger, so he feed it. The countries of the world have agreed since the beginning of the last century, that the marine environment is a gain, which deserves care and protection from pollutants that threaten its survival for future generations. International agreements have been introduced to ensure this goal is achieved, but despite the multiplicity of these agreements, statistics indicate an escalation of the risk of pollution with plastic materials, so the defect must be mended in a hurry before it is too late.
