الملخص
بنى القديس أوغسطين نظرية سياسية محكمة تمهيدا لمشروعه الحضاري الضخم، انطلق من ناظمها المتمثل في الإنسان السياسي المبدع؛ صانع الدولة، بقسميها: الدولة الكائنة والدولة التي يجب أن تكون، الدولة المنشودة المسيحية والدولة الحقيقية الرومانية، الدولة التي أرست قواعدها على هذه الأرض التي أوقعتنا فيها إرادتنا الحرة، كان القتل هو المدخل الذي اختاره الانسان ليؤسس لها. خلصنا إلى مجموعة من النتائج منها: مرّت المسيحية في تشكلها بثلاث حركات؛ حركة الخضوع للدولة، وحركة الدولة داخل دولة وأخيرا الدولة المسيحية.
