The Reality And Prospects Of Financial Inclusion In The Arab Countries, With Reference To Algeria

Abstract

The study aims to provide an analysis of the situation of financial inclusion in the Algerian banking sector in light of the prevailing level of governance, clarifying the challenges facing the banking sector and the reasons that hinder the adoption of a financial culture, and ways to advance to achieve comprehensive growth. The descriptive approach was relied on to address financial inclusion and financial governance with Indicating their importance, as well as on the analytical approach to analyze indicators of financial inclusion in Algeria using the Global Findex database, and the study concluded that the contribution of financial institutions in promoting financial inclusion for various segments of society is weak with limited provision of financial and banking products and services, as it requires them to focus on the category of Low and zero income earners to integrate them into formal financial channels to cultivate financial education and achieve financial inclusion endeavors.
