الملخص

goals is the main objective of supervision in different fields such as education, research, commerce, industry, administration, medicine etc. Moreover we always need to ensure that work is done properly to reach a higher quality which leads undoubtedly to success. Supervision, regardless of the work field, has one main objective: ensuring that people behave correctly or that they do their tasks properly. Supervising workers is an important issue and supervising students of the Teachers’ Training Colleges during the final year of study is particularly important. Because of the psychological, educational, pedagogic, social and administrative difficulties the students may encounter during the professional training in the schools, they need to be guided, advised and supervised. The foundations of good supervision are: orientation, advice, guiding, feedback, encouragement, reinforcement and dialogue. In order that educational supervision reach its major objective which is to prepare the would –be teachers for their future profession and to enable them to acquire skills, competences and new teaching strategies , it must abide by some scientific and professional conditions as well as some regulations. On the basis of what was said earlier, some questions were generated: 1. What are the legal texts that regulate the process of supervising the teachers’ professional training in Algeria? 2- What are the professional and scientific criteria that should govern supervision according to some research studies? 3- What is the reality of supervising the professional training at the ENS of Constantine and this, of course, according to the tutors’ practices? The present research paper aims at answering the above questions on the basis of a practical study carried out at the ENS of Constantine during the academic year 2008- 2009.
