The preservation and transmission of language could be largely attributed to the spoken language. This faculty could presumably be very useful in many didactical situations. Yet, this is fraught with danger given the particularities of its syntactic and communicative structures, some of which are considered in the present paper. The damaging effects of such interferences on classical Arabic have already been noticed. The aim of this article is therefore to unearth the bearings of the structure of the spoken language upon classical Arabic as taught in Algerian primary schools via a scrutiny of a large array of primary education handbooks.
