Résumé

The development of a textbook is a complex process in which involved many actors. They fulfil three functions that interact: the design, evaluation and utilization. The textbook remains an indispensable teaching tool: it is defined as a repository of learning situation. He translated the methodology in force in education namely the skills-based approach. Our work will focus on the analyses of the manual of French from the second year of secondary school, on its presentation, its form, its content its organization and its activities. Our goal is also to evaluate the work of the designers of the manual by analyzing their methodological choices and its adequacy with program.
