Abstract This communication is only one chapter in our doctoral entitled "Convergence and lexical divergence in Kabyle" proposes a semantic approach to linguistic variation in kabyle. During the analysis, we have found cases of semantic variation that are direct result of the different adaptation of a loan by region, of a semantic specialization of a word and, finally a transfer semantic according to the needs felt by the speakers differently, occurring at different stage of language development.
