Des Champs Hétérotopiques: Une Vie Culturelle Autre

Résumé
Cet article est tiré d’un travail de thèse en sciences sociales sur la vie culturelle des jeunes en milieu urbain (Oran, Algérie). L’observation participante, les entretiens formels et informels, la fréquentation des lieux, des personnes et l’histoire de cet espace ont fait ressortir une méthode ainsi qu’une approche théorique et conceptuelle dictées par le terrain étudié. L’article est une introduction pratique et théorique à la notion de champs hétérotopiques, laquelle notion est développée dans ladite thèse à travers d’autres cas, d’autres espaces, comme celui du cinéma. Ici, il est question de rendre compte de la notion en analysant un espace social animé par des jeunes et des artistes dans un contexte de lutte et d’hégémonie culturelle, dans la ville d’Oran, en Algérie. This article is derived from a social science thesis on the cultural life of young people in urban settings (Oran, Algeria). Participant observation, formal and informal interviews, visiting places and people, as well as understanding the history of this space, have led to the development of a method and a theoretical and conceptual approach dictated by the field of study. The article serves as a practical and theoretical introduction to the concept of heterotopic fields, which is further explored in the mentioned thesis through other cases and spaces, such as cinema. Here, the focus is on examining the notion by analyzing a social space animated by young people and artists in a context of struggle and cultural hegemony in the city of Oran, Algeria.
