Unemployment is a pressing issue in Algeria, especially among university graduates. Despite the government's attempts to reduce the unemployment rate, this group continues to struggle. To address this situation, it is essential to promote coordination between various stakeholders and improve the employability and socio-professional integration of young graduates. This article aims to explore the reality of professional integration for higher education graduates in Algeria and the expectations of potential employers regarding suitable profiles. To achieve this goal, we interviewed recruitment officers or directors in public and private companies. Our findings reveal that recruiters prioritize factors beyond academic credentials and place increasing value on the technological proficiency of young graduates. Moreover, these recruiters value the motivation and enthusiasm that young graduates bring to the workforce, as they bring fresh perspectives to the company.
