الملخص
يمنح الدستور الجزائري من خلال نص المادة 84 لرئيس الجمهورية دورا دستورياً يتمثل في تجسيد وحدة الأمة وحماية الدستور، وضمان استمرار الدّولة ومؤسساتها، إن هذا الدور الدستوري تم التعبير عنه بمصطلحات عامة لا يمكن من خلالها الاستنتاج فيما إذا كان دور رئيس الجمهورية يتعلّق بواجبات تقع على عاتقه، أم أنها امتياز يتيح له صلاحيات غير محدّدة بما يضيف للرئيس عاملا آخر من عوامل لأجل تكريس تفوقه في مواجهة السّلطات الأخرى داخل النّظام الدستوري. Le rôle constitutionnel du Président de la République en Algérie Résumé La Constitution algérienne confère au Président de la République un rôle constitutionnel consistant à incarner l'unité de la nation, à protéger la constitution et à garantir la continuité de l’État et ses institutions. Ce rôle constitutionnel s'exprime en des termes généraux dans lesquels il n’est pas clair s’il s’agit de devoirs ou d'un privilège qui confère au Président des pouvoirs indéfinis et qui ajoutent au Président de la République un autre facteur pour consacrer sa prépondérance face aux autres institutions dans le système constitutionnel. The constitutional role of President of the Republic in Algeria Abstract The Algerian Constitution grants to the President of the Republic a constitutional role of incarnating the unity of the nation, protecting the constitution, and guaranteeing the continuity of the state and its institutions. This role is expressed in general terms in which it is not clear if the role of the President is about duties, or is about privilege that allows to him undefined powers that add to the President of the Republic another factor to devote his preponderance in the face of other institutions within the constitutional system.
