Central Bank Independence And Inflation - Case Study Of Algeria-

Abstract

The central bank independence and the relationship between independence and inflation have been the subject of extensive theoretical and empirical research, most of these studies have found a negative correlation between average inflation and the degree of central bank independence, particularly in developed countries. This article aims to study the nature of the relationship between the Central Bank independence and inflation, then project the study to the case of Algeria through an empirical study of the relationship between the degree of independence and the inflation rate in Algeria for the period from 1990-2018.
