Authors : Hosein Salimi .

Abstract

Manoochehr Neyestani (1936-1981) is a contemporary Iranian poet who has written great, new and profound poems in various forms of Ghazal and asymmetrical poetry. He is one of the poets who has used allusions many times in his poems. The variety and abundance of allusions in Neyestani's poetry indicates his strong support and rich knowledge, so much that allusions can be considered as one of the prominent features of his poems. Although the early origin of allusion in his poems was mostly climatic (Kerman), he gradually distances himself from this space and uses more and more diverse sources for the allusions of his poems. One of these sources is the holy books of the Old Testament (Torah) and the New Testament (Gospel) as well as the Holy Qur’an. In this article, which has been done by library method and content analysis, an attempt has been made to analyze and examine the most important cases of reflection of the Torah, the Gospel and the Qur’an in Neyestani's poems.
