الكاتب : وصاف سعيدي .

الملخص

This study aims to analyze the impact of Algerian Remittances of migrants on Algeria's economic growth during the period 1999-2015. This study examined the relative importance of these transfers in to a number of macroeconomic indicators, which are represented in (GDP, non-oil goods exports, goods imports, foreign direct investment, and official foreign reserves). This study found that the contribution of remittances to Algerian migrants in GDP is weak; it has not been more than 3%. This can be refer to the fact that most of the remittances of Algerian migrants are carried outside the banking system through informal channels, which constitute 60% of the total remittances sent by members of the Algerian community living abroad. While the contribution of remittances to non-oil goods exports and the volume of foreign direct investments at Algeria were raising, in consequence to the smallness of these two variables. The extent of Algerian migrants' remittances in covering imports has been defined in two different phases. The first phase was characterized by a high contribution rate, while the contribution rate in the second phase decreased.
