الاسس الفكرية لدى علماء مدرسة الاشاعرة وتطبيقاتها في العملية التربوية

الملخص

This study aims at identifying the educational thought of Ashari School’s Scientists. The significance of this work stems from the lack of studies which deal with Islamic schools of thought in general and Ash'ari school in particular. We thus adopted in the present research work the analytical-descriptive and constructive approach to describe, analyze and construct issues. The findings of the study revealed that the educational thoughts of Ash'ari School’ Scientists are based on the Holy Qur'an and Sunnah (the prophetic traditions), and that such thoughts include all aspects of the educational process. As far as teachers are concerned, the Ash'ari School’Scientists put fundamental pre-requisite for teachers to take into account learners' individual differences in terms of mental or intellectual abilities. Moreover, we found that the Ash'ari Schools’ Scientists put a great deal of concern on the basic rights of children, such as the ones of studying in a confortable environment. Finally, the study revealed that the Ash'ari School’ Scientists used variety of teaching methods, including what is referred to as trial and error method. On the light of the study findings, the researchers recommended further research in the topic .
