الملخص
ملخص: قد اشتُهر في أوّل أمره بعلم "مختلف الحديث", حيث أشهره الإمام الهُمام وريحانة الزمان وحسنة الأيام محمد بن إدريس الشافعي-رحمه الله-في كتابه "اختلاف الحديث", وابن قتيبة في "تأويل مختلف الحديث". ولكنه كان في نطاق ضيّق حيث اختصّ بالأحاديث المتعارضة في الفقه ثمّ توسع مجاله توسعا عظيما , وأطلق عليه بعضهم فيما بعد مصطلح "مشكل الحديث", وفي ذلك ألّف "الطحاوي كتابه "شرح مشكل الآثار", وابن مهدي الطبري كتابه"تأويل الآيات المشكلة الموضِّحة وبيانها بالحجج والبرهان" وقد أصبح الإطلاق الثاني هو الأكثر تداولا لأمور ستُعلم بعد بسط التعاريف.
