A Review On English Literature Instruction In The Algerian Context

Abstract

English literature has a very important role in educational institutions and is considered as one of the compulsory subjects to be taught especially at the higher educational context. With the limited research conducted about this topic, this paper aims to add to the body of knowledge and provide teachers of English, in general, and teachers of literature, in particular, with a general overview of the different approaches, literary materials and classroom activities that can be implemented in English literature classes.
