ملخص بالعربية: قد يظهر أنه من السهل بداية حياتك المهنية كمسؤول بدون ميزانية أو دفتر شروط مسبق لتسيير موقع أثري بحجم جميلة . هل هناك أسهل من ضمان الحفاظ على تلك الأحجار القديمة بمجرد حراستها وصيانتها بشكل دوري من قبل فريق صغير من العمال غير مقتنعين بمهمتهم الجاحدة وأحيانًا يقومون بمهمة الإرشاد رغم فقدانهم للكفاءة العلمية في هذا المجال لفائدة أشخاص عاديين يتوافدون على الموقع من حين لأخر للزيارة الذي يحمل اسم على مسمى "الخربة". ثم فجأة ، يلاحقك الواقع ويدعوك إلى اتخاذ إجراءات جديرة بسمعة المكان وتفكرك بمسؤوليتك إزاء تراث أهمل منذ عدة سنوات ، ننتقل من أولوية إلى أخرى دون خبرة سابقة والعمل بالتخوف تفاديا للأخطاء المحتملة وغضب الوصاية الإدارية البعيدة بكل معاني الكلمة عن الواقع. من أمر لأخر، أحيانًا بهدوء ، وأحيانًا أخرى على جناح السرعة، تبدأ مجريات النشاط تميل إلى حالات الطوارئ وظهور الكثير من الأخطاء التي تتزامن عادة مع أنشطة ثقافية مهمة ؛ محاولات إنجاز قوائم الجرد الأثري ، ترميمات بسيطة لبعض الأجزاء الأثرية كتغطية اللوحات الفسيفسائية ، ترتيب الأدوات الأثرية لتحسين عرضها مع محاولة الحفاظ على روح ولمسة المبادرين وتشكيل رصيد وثائقي قاعدي قد يستغل في أعمل أكاديمية و خاصة السعي وراء تجديد المباني التي عانت لفترة طويلة من التقلبات المناخية وويلات الزمن SUMMARY, it may appear that it is easy to begin your career as an administrator of the Djemila’s archaeological site, without budget and specifications. Suddenly, reality haunts you, inviting to take actions worthy of the reputation of the place and reflecting on your responsibility in relation to a legacy that has been neglected. From one priority to another without experience, and working with fear in order to avoid mistakes From one matter to another, sometimes calmly, sometimes in urgency. The activity tends to lead to emergencies and emergence of many errors that usually coincide with important cultural activities. Attempts to complete archaeological inventories, restorations of some archaeological parts, covering mosaic panels, arrange the archaeological tools, improve their display while trying to preserve the spirit a of the initiators, the formation of a basic documentary fund to use it in academic work, especially the pursuit of the renovation of buildings. RESUME EN FRANÇAIS : On peut facilement croire qu’il est facile d’entamer sa vie professionnelle comme responsable sans portefeuille et sans cahier de charges dans un site archéologique de l’envergure de Djemila. Y ‘a-t-il plus facile que de prétendre qu’un gardiennage routinier et un désherbage périodique, peuvent être les garants de sa protection. La petite équipe chargée de ses missions, est le moins qu’on puisse dire, peu convaincue de ce travail, certains s’aventurent même à la dure fonction de guide sans formation dans le domaine, pour les visiteurs de ce site communément appelé : Kherba La réalité de la mission reprend souvent le dessus, la renommé des lieux nous incite à agir, prendre ses responsabilités pour sauver ce patrimoine longtemps délaissé. Il fallait passer d’une priorité ou d’une urgence à une autre sans expérience préalable, avec le risque omniprésent de commettre des erreurs. Il fallait gérer des activités culturelles importantes, réaliser un inventaire plus au moins scientifique, restaurer et revoir l’exposition de quelques documents archéologiques, entoiler quelques mosaïques… Tout en préservant l’ancien mode des instigateurs du musée.
