Investigating The Language Needs In English For Specific Purposes

Abstract

Due to the lack of time in master1 students of Economics agenda at the Doctoral School in Farhat Abbes-Setif1University, it is a challenging and customarily neglected task to conduct a Needs Analysis for these students. For this reason and to the benefit of both learners and teachers, the purpose of this paper is to investigate these learners’ needs for the prospect of future syllabus design. Accordingly and for the best reliable results, a questionnaire was conducted with no sampling procedures and on the whole population of nine specialties with a total of 276 mater1 students. Our investigation revolved mostly around the learners’ targeted situation analysis (TSA).
