الملخص
لقد ركزت المصادر التي أرخت للسودان الغربي على الجانب السياسي والعسكري بحكم ارتباطه بالدول وحكامها، لذا يجد الباحث اليوم صعوبة في رسم صورة عن الجوانب الأخرى لاسيما منها الحياة الاجتماعية، ومن أجل ذلك حاولت الدراسة إعطاء لمحة عن هذا الجانب أثناء القرن السادس عشر ميلادي، وتكمن أهمية الدراسة في كون أن المعلومات الواردة فيها مستخلصة من مصادر أولية لا يمكن للباحث في تاريخ المنطقة الاستغناء عنها باعتبار أصحابها شهود عيان على ما أوردوه من أحداث، فعرضت أسماء ومواقع أهم حواضر بلاد السودان الغربي والنشاطات الممارسة بها، وكذا قبائل المجتمع السوادني الأهلية والوافدة، وصورة عن حياتهم اليومية، ومنه فالهدف من الدراسة هو أخذ صورة عن هذا المجتمع الذي يتاخم بلادنا (المغرب الأوسط) من الجنوب والذي ربطتنا به عدة روابط عبر التاريخ ومازالت تربطنا به إلى اليوم، فعرض الحياة الاجتماعية يعكس آثار تلك الروابط. The sources that chronicled the western Sudan focused on the political and military side, by virtue of its association with states and their rulers, Therefore, the researcher today finds it difficult to draw a portrait of other aspects, especially social life, wherefore the study tried to give a glimpse of this aspect during the sixteenth century, The importance of the study reside in the fact that the information contained in it is extracted from primary sources that the researcher in the history of the region cannot dispense with, given that the authors are eyewitnesses to the events they reported, it presented the names and locations of the most important cities in western Sudan and the activities practiced there. as well as the indigenous and expatriate tribes of Sudanese society and a picture of their daily life. Hence, the objective of the study is to draw a portrait of of this society, which borders our country (the central Maghreb) from the south, and with which several ties linked us throughout history and still bind us to it today. The presentation of social life reflects the effects of those ties.
