الملخص: حاول جل الأباطرة الرومان كسب قلوب الناس من خلال تنظيم الألعاب، يؤخذ على سبيل المثال الإمبراطور كايوس يوليوس أوكتافيوس الملقب بـ أغسطس (Augustus)، بعد عودته من المقاطعات الشرقية سنة 17 ق.م قام بتنظيم وإحياء الألعاب القرنية (Ludi Saeculares) معيداً الألعاب القديمة في روما بما يسمى الألعاب الرومانية (Ludi Romani) لغرض ترفيه الشعب وإبعاده عن أمور السياسة والحكم مع ضمان تأييده لسياسته، ولإنجاح العملية كلف مساعديه أمثال الشاعر هوراتيوس(Horatius)بكتابة الأناشيد الخاصة بالألعاب والمباريات والتي أسماها بقصائد المواعظ (Sermonnes) أشهرها أغاني (Carman Saeculare) أي الأناشيد النارية القرنية. ABSTRACT : Most of the Roman emperors tried to win the hearts of the people by organizing games. Take, for example, Emperor Caius Julius Octavius, nicknamed Augustus. After returning from the eastern provinces in 17 BC, he organized and revived the Ludi Saeculares centuries games, repeating the ancient games in Rome with the so-called The Roman Games Ludi Romani for the purpose of entertaining the people and keeping them away from matters of politics and governance while ensuring their support for his policies, and for the success of the process, he assigned his assistants, such as the poet Horatius, to write songs for games and matches, which he called Sermonnes, the most famous of which are the songs of Carman Saeculare, centuries fiery songs.
