الملخص
تعد المياه مورد طبيعي هام وأساسي أقام عليها الانسان القديم حياته اليومية، اعتبرها قوة غامضة تأثر بها، وحين عجز عن تفسير سر قوتها خصها بالعبادة والقداسة، محاولا تقريب وجهة نظره بإلهه فعبر عنه بوصفه بأشكال ورموز حيوانية وأخرى نباتية. ومن بين الآلهة التي خصصت لعبادة المياه إله البحر(نبتون) وإله المحيطات (أوسيانوس)، وفي هذه الورقة البحثية سنتعرف عن الإلهين بناء على ما روته الأساطير، وكذلك بقراءة لملامحهما من خلال تبليطات فسيفساء منازل وحمامات المدن الرومانية بإفريقيا البروقنصلية ونوميديا. Water is an important and basic natural resource on which the ancient man built his life, considering it a mysterious force that was affected by. When he unable to grasp the secret behind its power, he singled it out for worship and holiness, trying to bring his view closer to his God. So, he expressed it by shapes, animals and plants’ symbols. Among the gods dedicated to water worship are the sea god (Neptune) and the Oceanus’. In this research paper, we will know about the both gods based on what was narrated by legends, as well as by reading their features through the paving mosaic of the Roman cities’ baths and the houses in Proconsular Africa and Numidia.
