The Lmd Reforms And The Vocational Translation Curriculum Development: Some Reflections On Technical Writing

Abstract

The present paper sheds light on a two-fold topic:theassessment of the writing course content currently taught in the Algerian translation curriculum and the ways adopted to reinforce the course content related to technical writing within the vocational system of education.The problems may be encountered in this regard limited more to the nature of the LMD system and the improvising environment that is deeply rooted in our educational system. Teaching vocational translation students technical and academic writing is of primordial importance for these very students will meet with different technical texts to be translated and hence be equipped with the necessary tools to deal with.
