الملخص
This paper proposes to study the critical theorising and practice of Dr Abdullah Rekibi, one of Algeria’s literary critics in the postindependence era. Dr Rekibi gave a lot of attention to the dramatic art in Algeria, its different phases and the main critical issues dealt with in the dramatic text. His work may not amount to a well-defined critical theory, yet it is of great help in reading the future of what has been achieved in the field of dramatic art in Algeria, both towards a critical theory and in terms of practical criticism of dramatic production.
