الملخص
Abstract: This study aims to uncover the reality of the labour market in Algeria, as well as the development of unemployment rates in Algerian economy during the period (1980-2017) ;down to analyze the economic and social consequences of this problem. Thus, the analytical and descriptive approach has been used. The findings of the present study indicate an exacerbation of unemployment rates reaching about 11.7% in 2017, with their greater prevalence in females compared to males. In addition to the expansion of their rates among university graduates, which are likely to continue in this way in the future, if the policy remains in the same manner as it is currently. Consequently, the problem that will occur can be imagined, and the economic and social burdens that follow. The study there for recommended that the State should seek to alleviate the problem by re-examining both monetary policy and fiscal policy, which could embody the will of the State to avoid economic impacts, such as the spread of illegal marketplaces in a large number of regions of the country, as well as Mitigating social consequences.
