الملخص
Abstract This research is entitled (Faith Compatibilities in Folkloric Proverbs). The research is a study of (Folkloric Proverbs in the Arabian Peninsula) by Abdulkareem Al Gihaiman, which is considered the most famous book about popular sayings of the local people in Arabian Peninsula. These popular proverbs have contained much agreement compatible with the belief of The Sunni and Gamma groups. The research aims at revealing the importance of folkloric sayings and the extent of agreement with religious faith. It is divided into three sections. The first section would be about proverbs that deal with the Belief in Allah. The second section would be about the proverbs that deal with the other pillars of Faith, while the third section would cover different proverbs covering other aspects. The method I adopted was reading the book and sorting out the proverbs that suited each section. I came out with many findings that, the folkloric sayings are of great importance to communities in the Arabian Peninsula as they are vastly used in the people’s meetings. The sayings are also good evidence for the belief of the people in Allah, as they fully recognize HIS absolute dominance on universe as well as recognizing HIS different Names and different Qualities.The proverbs also revealed their belief in the existence of Angles, prophets, and belief in the Last day and the belief in Fate of human destiny. I hope this would be purely for Allah's sake and blessings & peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad.
