Résumé

The German youth language has developed rapidly in recent years, meanwhile it is a distinguishing feature for every group of young people, i.e. every age group of young people has his own language. This phenomenon has been studied more and more in language laboratories over time. Young people in Germany today almost speak a different language, a mixture of English words that are sometimes difficult to understand. This article talks about this kind of communication between teenagers, and discusses how they were able to completely change their language, making it almost impossible to understand. The question of why actually such expressions are used, mainly those comprising many foreign words and not the words that already exist in the German language. This, this article discusses the German youth language or Youth Communication (German: Jugendsprache) on the basis of a description of the linguistic patterns and characteristics almost used by German adolescents as well as the motives behind such as use.
