Abstract The studies ofMacNeilage (1998), MacNeilage and Davis (2000) done on dissyllabic CV.CV kind of lexical units have shown that there is a strong relationship between syllabic constituents. These authors noted a clear preference for labial - coronal sequences inter and intra syllabic level, a phenomenon called «labial- coronal effect". I. Rousset 2004 brought of the new in this domain of research by studying the phenomenon at the intra-syllabic level of the CVC syllabic structures. She shows that the labial-coronal effect exists also in these structures. This article proposed here is inspired by the work then and has the objective to test this hypothesis on Kabyle type CVC syllabic structures. We aim to study the presence or absence of labial-coronal effect between onset and coda of these syllabic structures. We will study 2887 syllables and try to verify the hypothesis of MacNeilage (1998).
