The Relationship Between Job Satisfaction, Pay Satisfaction, And Intrinsic Motivation Among Faculty Members Of Setif University.

Abstract

The current paper has investigated the complex relationships between job satisfaction, pay satisfaction, and intrinsic motivation, among academic faculty members of Setif University, Algeria. The paper has used three questionnaires administered to 299 faculty members. Intrinsic motivation was determined by using a part of work preference inventory scale (Amabile, et al., 1994). Minnesota satisfaction questionnaire was used to measure job satisfaction levels (Weiss et al., 1967). Pay satisfaction was taken from the pay satisfaction questionnaire (Henneman & Schwab, 1985). Correlation and regression analysis procedures were used to analyze the relationships between variables. The results has showed some significant relationships, specifically between pay satisfaction and job The relationship between job satisfaction, pay satisfaction, and intrinsic motivation among faculty members of Setif University. Satisfaction. Findings may be used to implement strategies to enhancing motivation, job satisfaction, and pay satisfaction, of faculty members in developing country universities.
