The Problematic Of Heritage In Contemporary Arab Thought An Analytical Reading Of Abdullah Al Arwi's Position

الملخص
: This study focused on analyzing the central thesis advocated by the thinker Abdullah Al-Arwi in his intellectual project, especially regarding his stance on heritage and modernity, as well as his critique of Salafist and reconciliatory trends in his attempt to uncover the historical backwardness that plagued Arab societies, by pushing them to think about the prerequisites of political and cultural reform, with the aspiration that they would engage in the movement of history and contribute to building modernity. Regardless of whether we agree or disagree with what Al-Arwi contributions, it is imperative to recognize that his stance represented an intellectual alternative to the projects advocated by proponents of Salafist ideologies. His critical success was evident his courageous and unambiguous position of heritage. We believe that the questions raised by Al- Arwi's project are still relevant in the Arab cultural arena ركزت هذه الدراسة على تحليل الأطروحة المركزية التي دافع عنها المفكر عبد الله العروي في مشروعه الفكري، خاصة ما تعلق بموقفه من التراث والحداثة، ونقده للاتجاهات السلفية والتوفيقية في اجتهاداته للكشف عن التأخر التاريخي الذي لازم المجتمعات العربية، ودفعها للتفكير في موجبات الإصلاح السياسي والثقافي، لعلها تنخرط في حركة التاريخ وتساهم في بناء الحداثة. ومهما كان موقفنا مما قدمه العروي بالاتفاق أو الاختلاف، لابد أن نعترف أن جهود العروي قد مثلت مشروعا فكريا بديلا للمشاريع التي أنتجها دعاة الإيديولوجيا السلفية، وموفقا نقديا لم يتردد في اتخاذ موقف شجاع وواضح من التراث. لأننا نعتقد أن الأسئلة التي حركت مشروع العروي مازالت مطروحة على الساحة الثقافية العربية.
