Machine Learning Theory Vs Classic Approach In Linear Regression Estimation

Abstract

Regression theory in classical models assumes the unity of data in order to reach a standard relationship that explains the type and direction of the relationship between the variables. While machine learning models simulate human intelligence within a deeper style to give a stronger interpretation according to mathematical formulas based on artificial intelligence theory, especially when it comes to big data. The aim of this study is to compare the classical regression models using the sm and smf functions and machine learning models in Python by showing the relationship between the variables involved. Which found machine learning models that more accurately interpret the mathematical relationship between the data after dividing it into training and experimental data to reach that the final model (70%) of the experimental data was the best in estimating the standard relationship.
