مزالق الحداثة عند اريك فروم

الملخص
على الرغم من وصف عصرنا بأنه عصر التقدم العلمي والبحث عن الوسائل التي تهيئ للإنسان كل سبل الراحة وتضمن له الرخاء والرفاهية ،عصر تسيد الانسان للطبيعة و تسخيرها لمصالحه ،، إلا أن المفكر الألماني اريك فروم(1900-1980) لمس انحرافا في الحضارة الغربية و خللا في أسسها حينما قدست المادة والاستهلاك وعبادة القوة حتى أصبح الإنسان كما يقال ترسا في آلة، فمعظم منجزات هذا العصر سارت في اتجاه معاكس للطبيعة الإنسانية مما أنتج إنسانا مضطربا ومريضا. فالكثير من الأزمات و الأمراض تنهش جسمه و تعمل على تقويض أركانه و تهديد حضارته و منجزاتها. إن التطور الذي شهده الإنسان والتقدم الذي يعيشه يوميا خلق لديه على العكس أزمات عديدة منها ما يتعلق بذاته و منها ماهو مرتبط بالآخرين ، الشيء الذي جعله أكثر اغترابا و تشيؤا و فقدانا لهويته الحقيقية . يلهث وراء المادة و لا يتحدث إلا عن الاستهلاك. Eric Fromm, despite the scientific and intellectual progress and despite seeking all means of comfort and prosperity for mankind, sensed a certain aberration within the western civilisation as it valued materialism and consumerism, and glorified power until it made of a human merely a automaton. The majority of this civilisation’s achievements took an opposite path to human nature which led to the making of disturbed and mentally ill individuals. A plethora of sicknesses and despairs tire their bodies and weaken their souls and threaten their civilisation and challenge his achievements. Fromm noted that the progress man achieved led to several identity issues. Issues between him and his inner self. He became increasingly alienated and materialistic and made him lose his true identity due to the limits of his own understanding and due to the total surrender to his consumeristic desires
