الملخص
This article focuses on clarifying one of literary studies field, it is exactly about “literary theory”, by examining this term, in order to differentiate it from other fields, as “Literary history” and “Literary criticism”. Complementing the statement of the theory of literary characteristics It was a necessity to follow history of its evolution, and to outline its most important issues.
