Résumé

RESUME La brucellose est une infection rare de système nerveux, une zoonose due à des bactéries du genre Brucella. L’incidence de la maladie est variable selon les pays et les régions allant de 0,125 à 200 cas pour 100000 habitants, de tableaux clinique variable, sa forme focalise au niveau cérébrale représentent environ 2 à 10% des formes et peuvent se présenter sous différents tableaux cliniques. Nous rapportant un cas d’empyème cérébral d’origine brucellienne révélé par une perte d’autonomie chez un sujet âgé de 60 ans. MOTS CLES: Empyème, neurobrucellose AB S T R A C T Brucellosis is a rare infection of the nervous system, a zoonosis caused by bacteria of the genus Brucella. The incidence of the disease is variable according to the countries and the regions ranging from 0.125 to 200 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, of variable clinical pictures, its form focuses on the cerebral level represent approximately 2 to 10% of the forms and can appear in different table’s clinics.
