الملخص

Abstract: Latin inscriptions are one of the most important physical sources in the writing of the history of a region, using the science of writing (épigraphie) épigraphie enables us to encrypt these inscriptions and understand their meaning, which is an auxiliary science of history and depends on historians in recording the historical events of a region they chose to study, especially in the absence of documents and manuscripts, and thanks to it we can read and understand the writings that we find engraved on stones such as tombstones and minerals in the form of railways, money or medals to promote soldiers and sometimes on pottery and seals. Manufacturing workshops or on animal bones, ivory, glass and even on mosaics and on the rules of statues all these writings are an important material source and serve as a living historical record and a true original document that does not accept falsification and questioning corrects some of the mistakes made by the travelers and some ancient historians or their support in their information with archaeological physical documents because many of these writings enable us to reinvented the topography of Some of the city's geography also bears the names of tribes that flocked to the region, participated in its historical events of sophistication and collapse, as well as gifts and glorification of some emperors and inscriptions written on the rules of statues erected in honor of senior officials, military commanders and provincial governors. All these questions we will answer in this research are based on vivid examples of ancient inscriptions found in various regions of the Ancient Maghreb.
