Résumé : Cet article se veut une analyse des chansons du défunt Idir portant sur l’immigration dans l’objectif de cerner le type d’immigration et les figures du migrant qui y sont représentés. Notre démarche a consisté à dégager et analyser les dimensions sociales, culturelles et politiques du phénomène migratoire dans ces chansons, ce qui nous a permis de révéler l’intérêt particulier du chanteur pour l’émigration ancienne et pour la condition des enfants issus de l’immigration. Abstract This article analyzes the songs of the late Idir on immigration in order to identify the type of immigration and the figures of the migrant that are represented. Our approach consisted in identifying and analyzing the social, cultural and political dimensions of the migration phenomenon in these songs, which allowed us to reveal the particular interest of the singer for the old emigration and for the condition of the children resulting from the immigration.
