الملخص
إنّ الشيخ المهدي البوعبدلي من كبار علماء الجزائر ومؤرخيها مصلحيها، الذين خلفوا أعمالا علمية جليلة، ومن الذين عملوا على إصلاح أوطانهم، والنهوض بها للأخذ بأسباب التقدّم، وتوجيه أبنائها في دروب العلم، وتخليصهم من رواسب التحجر والتخلف. وكان من الذين أخذوا على عاتقهم أمانة خدمة التاريخ، وإماطة الثمام عن أسراره ودفائنه، وإحيائه بعد ذهاب ريحه، وذلك بردّ تحريفات المؤرخين الفرنسيين المتحاملين، فصحح بذلك المسار، ورفع عن مخطوطاته الغبار، كل ذلك لتترسخ في نفوس الأجيال القادمة معاني قيمة التاريخ الوطني، والانتماء العربي الإسلامي. وقد ساهم الشيخ المهدي البوعبدلي من خلال بحوثه ومقالاته المنشورة والمخطوطة ومحاضراته في الملتقيات الوطنية والدولية، بيان الإسهامات الثقافية والحضارية لمختلف مدن الجزائر، وخصص حيزا في كتاب "تاريخ المدن" لمدن الجنوب والجنوب الغربي الجزائري، أشار فيها إلى دورها الفكري والثقافي والحضاري، وأهمية موقعها الجغرافي وثرواتها الطبيعية، وأهم البيوتات العلمية وأشهر رجالاتها، والمراكز والزوايا الدينية، والطرق الصوفية، وخزائن المخطوطات، ومن اهتم بالكتابة عنها من المؤرخين الأجانب، والعسكريين الفرنسيين الذين تواجدوا بالمنطقة، ورد الكثير من دعاواهم الباطلة التي تنافي الحقيقة. Sheikh Al-Mahdi Al-Boabdali is one of Algeria's great scholars, historians, and reformers, who left behind great scientific works, and among those who worked to reform their homelands and advance them in order to take the causes of progress, guide their children in the paths of knowledge, and rid them of the deposits of petrification and backwardness. And he was one of those who took upon themselves the responsibility of serving history, removing the veil from its secrets and burials, and reviving it after its wind had gone, by refuting the distortions of the prejudiced French historians, so he corrected the course, and removed the dust from his manuscripts, all of this to entrench in the hearts of future generations the meanings of the value of national history and belonging Islamic Arab. Sheikh Al-Mahdi Al-Boabdali, through his research, published articles, manuscripts, and lectures in national and international forums, contributed to explaining the cultural and civilizational contributions of the various cities of Algeria. Geography and its natural wealth, the most important scholarly houses and its most famous men, religious centers and corners, Sufi orders, manuscript treasuries, foreign historians and French military who were present in the region were interested in writing about it, and many of their false claims that contradict the truth were reported.
