Sud-oranais : Immersion Dans La Société Algérienne Du Xixème Siècle à La Lisière Du Littéraire Et De L’ethnographique

Résumé
Résumé : Nous nous intéresserons dans cet article à la valeur ethnographique des données que recèle le manuscrit de Sud-Oranais d’Isabelle Eberhardt. En particulier ayant comme visée de décrire et de présenter « l’Autre » et qui revêt un aspect de connaissance considérable de la société algérienne du XIXème siècle et ce, durant la période de la colonisation française. Ceci en tentant de dresser des parallélismes entre certaines méthodes ethnographiques et le choix de vie et la manière avec laquelle l’auteure a réussi à pénétrer la société algérienne, à vivre et à partager le quotidien de sa population mais surtout à rendre compte à travers des détails minutieux de tout ce qui se rapporte à l’univers culturel de cette société. Nous nous référerons en particulier aux travaux de Marcel Mauss et ceux de l’anthropologue polonais Bronislaw Kasper Malinowski pour mettre en avant les protocoles visant à préciser la démarche ethnographique. Abstract: We will focus in this article on the ethnographic value of the data contained in Isabelle Eberhardt's South-Oranais manuscript. In particular with the aim of describing and presenting "the Other" and which takes on an aspect of considerable knowledge of Algerian society in the 19th century during the period of French colonization. This while trying to draw parallels between certain ethnographic methods and the choice of life and the way with which the author succeeded in penetrating the Algerian society, to live and share the daily newspaper of its population but especially to give account through minute details of everything related to the cultural universe of this society. We will refer in particular to the work of Marcel Mauss and that of the Polish anthropologist Bronislaw Kasper Malinowski to highlight the protocols aimed at clarifying the ethnographic approach.
