New Perspectives In Efl Learning: The Rise Of The Digital Age

Abstract

The aim of this study is to delve into the new strategies of English language learning in the era of digitization. It attempts to analyse the major challenges faced by EFL students in switching from face-to-face learning into online learning. The sample of the study involved university students from the University of Relizane and their EFL teachers. Two research instruments were used: (a) a student questionnaire and (b) a semi structured interview. The data collected from these research instruments were analysed quantitatively and qualitatively. The findings of the study revealed that digital technologies and students’ awareness of self-learning development impact on their learning success and self-organizing skills acquisition.
