الملخص تهدف ورقتنا البحثية إلى تفحص الظروف المعيشية والوضع الصحي للسكان المسنين البالغين 60 سنة و أكثر في الجزائر. تقوم هذه الدراسة على تحليل ثانوي للبيانات العرضية للمسح الجزائري حول صحة الأسرة (EASF) الذي أنجز سنة 2002. التحاليل شملت مجتمع سكاني مكون من 3958 شخص مسن يبلغ 60 سنة فأكثر من المقيمين مع أسرهم و ذلك بغية وصف ملامحهم الديمغرافية و الاجتماعية و الاقتصادية و تقييم حالتهم الصحية و محدداتها و التعرف على التباينات و الفوارق الموجودة في مرحلة الشيخوخة. Abstract The main objective of our paper is to examine the living conditions and health status of the population aged 60 and over in Algeria. The study consists of a secondary analysis of cross-sectional data from the Algerian Family Health Survey (EASF) conducted in 2002 on a non-institutionalized population of 3958 persons aged 60 years and over in order to examine their demographic, social and economic configuration, to evaluate their health status and its determinants, and to identify existing inequalities in old age. Résumé L'objectif principal de notre papier est d'examiner les conditions de vie et le statut de santé de la population âgée de 60 ans et plus en Algérie. L’étude consiste en une analyse secondaire des données transversales de l’enquête algérienne sur la santé de la famille (EASF) réalisée en 2002 .Les analyses portent sur une population non institutionnalisée de 3958 personnes âgées de 60 ans et plus afin de scruter leur configuration démographique, sociale et économique, d’évaluer leur état de santé et ses déterminants, et identifier les inégalités existantes devant la vieillesse.
