الملخص
The ancestors used their traditional and scientific knowledge to solve the difficult problems that were posed by the religious practices to define the exact time for the five prayers and "qibla". To define the direction of Mecca, they observed the rises and Maghreb of some stars, but this doesn't deprive the occurrence of some mistakes that the ordinary people and scientists fell into to define the exact direction of "qibla". This led to a dissatisfaction of some religious persons Sheets as Abu Ali al-Matidji who criticised severely these mistakes and he dealt with the religious and astronomical solutios to define the exact direction of قبلة so that the Muslim prayers are true and acceptable and in this paper we will give a general evaluation of what came in the book "dala 'il al-qibla" for Abu Ali al-Matidji as a participation from us to establish a real consciousness about the Algerian doctrinal heritage of which are Sheets in the manuscripts drawers.
