الملخص
هدفت هذه الدراسة للتعريف بأهم التحولات الضرورية والمتوقعة من اختصاصي المكتبات العامة في مجتمع المعرفة، باعتبارها أحد الأعمدة الأساسية لدعم المجتمع والحفاظ على أمنه وتماسكه لما تقدمه من خدمات تساعد على تعزيز ثقافته المعلوماتية الثقافية والتاريخية، من خلال التطرق إلى مفهوم المكتبات العامة وحتمية تغير أدوارها وأشكالها للاندماج بمجتمع المعرفة، وأهم التحديات التي تواجه هذا النوع من المكتبات في الاندماج ضمن هذا المجتمع المتجدد، ولقد خلصت الدراسة بأن هذه اختصاصي المكتبات العامة يختلف دورا وخدمة عن باقي المكتبات The aim of this study is to identify the most important and expected transformations of public libraries specialist in the knowledge society as one of the pillars of the societies. This is confirmed by the IFLA statement that "office services are becoming more important for children and their parents around the world. They reflect the repercussions of these services on the whole society by addressing the concept of public libraries and the inevitability of changing their roles and forms to integrate into the knowledge society, And the impact of these services on society, and the most important challenges facing this type of libraries in the adaptation within this complex and changing society, and the study concluded that these libraries differ from the role and service of the rest of the libraries
